By keeping our daily numbers low, we’re able to give every dog more than enough attention. We learn their personality. We learn their habits. We learn what makes them comfortable.
That’s what allows us to individualize care instead of managing a crowd.

Who did it begin with
Her name was, Mattie
Mattie, a Norwegian Elkhound, changed our lives. Her gentle curiosity, patience, and love showed us that dog care is a family affair. Every wag, glance, and moment she spent with us reinforced that dogs deserve more than just supervision—they deserve a place that celebrates, nurtures, and treats them like family.
In her memory, we created Maddie’s, a boutique dog daycare inspired by her lessons. Here, every dog receives the same warmth and care as Maddie gave us: thoughtful attention, consistent kindness, and personalized care. We designed Maddie’s to feel like home—a bright, secure, and playful sanctuary where dogs can unwind, explore, and make friends under the watchful eye of a dedicated team that treats them as family.
Maddie’s teachings guide our operations:
- Love first: We approach each dog with compassion, meeting them where they are emotionally and offering reassurance and positive reinforcement.

Opening High Paw honors a dog who profoundly impacted our lives. Every dog we welcome embodies Mattie’s spirit: braver, kinder, and more loved because someone truly sees them. We vow to keep that spirit at the heart of everything we do. Welcome to High Paw, where dogs are family, and family is cherished with love. Though she’s no longer with us, her love and memory remain.

Unfortunately, if we determine that your dog isn’t a good fit for our facility, we’ll be honest and explain the reasons. We’ll also be honest if we believe our facility isn’t suitable for your dog. Our primary goal is to ensure the best possible care for hevery dog, which means acknowledging our own limitations.
At HIGH PAW, we don’t just love dogs; we protect them. Every dog in our care receives up-to-date vaccinations, undergoes regular health checks, and completes temperament testing to ensure a perfect match of personalities and prevent stress or conflict. This dedication to safety and well-being allows owners to trust that our playgroups, daycare, and boarding programs are clean, professional, and run by staff who prioritize preventive care and responsible placements. As a result, our dogs thrive in a happy and healthy environment, and our owners can rest assured knowing that their pets are in the best hands.
